Do Adjustments Hurt?

Dr. Polk, The Joint Aurora at Gardens on Havana

Chiropractic adjustments should be comfortable for the patient. They are most comfortable and effective when the patient is fully relaxed and refrains from engaging muscles in the area of the body to be adjusted. Occasionally some mild and momentary tenderness will result from failure to disengage the muscles. However, most patients enjoy their adjustments and look forward to the way they feel.
