There are parts of your body that very clearly show you when something isn’t right. You can see your teeth and when there’s something wrong with them it’s fairly obvious. Eyes are the same way – when there’s something wrong with your eyes it’s very easy to pick up on. But what about your spine? How do you know when it’s time to get yourself to the chiropractor for an evaluation? It may not be as easy for some people to tell, so here are a few questions you can ask yourself to see if your back is in need of a visit to your chiropractor.
When you look at a picture of yourself do you notice that your head is always a little tilted or that your shoulders are always a little slumped? Do you carry your bag on just one side and notice one shoulder is higher than the other? Do pants fits you strangely, with one leg longer than the other? If you have answered yes to any of these it may be time to see your chiropractor.
Check Your Shoes
Take a look at the bottom of your shoes. Do you notice that one side is worn down more than the other side? Check out all of the shoes you wear regularly and see if this is true for all of them. You may be favoring one side of your body and that could be causing your shoes to wear differently.
How Often Are You Sick?
If you find yourself sick with a cold a lot and find it hard to shake then it could be a signal something isn’t right. If your nervous system isn’t working correctly then it can cause your immune system not to function as well as it could and that results in getting sick frequently and taking longer to recover than those around you.
Pain That Doesn’t Go Away
Do you suffer from pain that usually doesn’t go away no matter what you do or goes away but comes back? This can be caused by a misalignment of your spine that needs to be addressed by a chiropractor, especially if it’s gotten worse over time.
So, how did you do? If you answered yes more than no then it’s time to make an appointment with The Joint Chiropractic in order to have an evaluation done and figure out what the root of your problem lies.
